Shae Style Photography is closed for the remainder of 2024. I’ve hit burnout trying to manage crippling migraines from an executive brain function that does not work even with stimulants. Photographing around 500 people this year is a piece of cake with my eye for detail and enthusiasm for human beings but my limited administrative brain has brought me undone. Plus how can one post happy photos when those parents are going to identify their sons in Mexico!! Whilst I’m meant to be getting excited to move into our new canal front property and a wedding in October, all I want to do is sleep & not be in pain & avoid the media. So to my regulars, I’m sorry I cannot be of service for the remainder of the year, I need to get a good coach, get fit again, be amongst nature again and get back to being the best version of me for you to benefit from my creativity. Life is just too busy for my small brain and to all you people who do it with children, I think you are fkn super human. See you in 2025, stay safe, thank you for your support and don’t allow yourself to get caught in the rat race either, it is simply bad for one’s health & what price are you also paying trying to meet deadlines and answer a million emails let alone fit in fitness and wellness. If you’re in a similar boat, ask yourself is it worth the sacrifice to your physical or mental wellbeing. Sneaky little self portrait showing I do both makeup & photography. Gotta catch these moments when we see them! Why do I also do the makeup & have done for 20+ years? Because I have had too many people turning up looking like a drag queen! Less is more, natural is best - especially for corporate photos.
